I am a Lazy teacher but I also want to be efficient. A lazy teacher does not prepare for hours on end. Effective teachers use minimum preparation time for maximum use of time in the class. A lazy teacher starts with the students. They are the main source of learning material. They have the time, the energy, the creativity and the skill to produce sources. A lazy teacher is ready to make use of student sources. This makes these sources relevant because they are not only student-centered, but student-chosen. A lazy teacher uses student-chosen sources because he / she is ready to learn from them and ready to use them for future classes. A lazy teacher delegates teaching to the student, making maximum use of peer to peer teaching. Task Based Learning Ideas

A Task Based Project means that the students create a tangible end product. This could be a presentation of any kind or the physical creation of the product. In education, task based projects work best when the criteria are clearly mapped out and where assessment is in a rubric form which is given to the students before they start the project. The rubric must allow points for completion of tasks, for the various competences and skills required, for the manner the end product is presented. The end product itself is an end result but the learning experience needs to be accounted for whatever the result. If a student is more IT or craft minded than another, a project that requires these skills will make him or her shine. Making Spaces

Student creativity, problem solving, and collaboration activities are limited by the traditional classroom space. Schools need to develop physical spaces where students can have more open space to engage in project-based activities. These are called makerspaces. The projects can be entirely decided by the students or centred on a theme such as environmentally-friendly projects or projects that must serve the students’ locally community. A makerspace is not just a physical space for learning. The redefined lesson model in itself is a makerspace. The makerspace environment involves a hands-on learning approach, project-based learning and student self-directed learning. In such a way we make spaces for students to become makers.
